Western Uusimaa is getting more and more known as an attractive destination. Our location just west of Helsinki makes the region an excellent destination for day tours. We are also not far away from Turku or Tampere. The nearest airports and ferry harbours are located the capital region and in Turku.

The further apart you come from, the more exotic you will find our region. In some places out nature is very different from the rest of Finland, almost like in Central Europe. Our bilingual (Finnish, Swedish) culture and the archipelago are features that differ from most parts of Finland. The open landscapes, the picturesque, winding roads, the many farms, the small towns and villages creates a cosy feeling and makes you feel at home with us. Local cultural events and nature offers year around experiences.

We also offer conference venues of many kinds in inspiring settings, just one hour from Helsinki.

Western Uusimaa consists of the following municipalities and towns: Hanko, Ingå, Karkkila, Kirkkonummi, Lohja, Raseborg, Siuntio, Vihti.
